General Information

Hello everyone, thank you for making it this far already. We would love to have all of you at our wedding and will do our best make it as accessible as possible despite it being a "destination" wedding.

We have selected our wedding venue. Please refer to the Venue tab of this website for more information. We will be reserving rooms at the venue for our guests from October 8th - 11th. For that reason we recommend booking your flight so that you land on the 8th and a shuttle bus taking you straight to the wedding venue where you will have 1 day to rest and unwind before the actual wedding ceremony (and hopefully fight the jet-lag).

For the remainder of your stay we are still trying to get a group discount for everyone, but that may not be feasible, and may just be easier for everyone to book their own rooms. However we strongly recommend choosing the Seoul Garden should we not be able to get a group rate so that we can arrange transportation for everyone.

Formal wedding invitations will be mailed out as we approach the wedding date.

Hotel Deposit

Nest Hotel

We require a 50% deposit for the hotel room by February 28th 2026 and the remaining 50% by September 1st for the wedding venue hotel. A reminder that the prices as of now are a best guess and the hotels will not honor any quote until a deposit has been placed, however it shouldn't change by much, if at all. For a basic room this means we need a deposit of $336.00.

Seoul Garden Hotel

As of now this hotel is not confirmed because the agent doing our group booking wanted to charge a 20% fee on top of everything making the hotel unaffordable for most of our guests.

Flight Information

You shroud be booking your flight to depart on the 7th of October and landing at Incheon International Airport (ICN) October 8th. When and were you chose to depart is up to you! You may also chose to arrive 1 day later, on the 9th, but this may make it difficult to feel well rested for the wedding on the 10th.

You can of course arrive earlier if you wish but we will not be coordinating transportation for you in that situation.

How much will it cost?

Flight (Air Canada) is pricing about $1,850 per person as of November 26th.

For 2 adults the total should come to $5,760.00 before taxes and fess.
**assumes flight from Toronto Pearson airport to Incheon international airport.

A charter bus from Incheon to Seoul will be about $500 1 way. It can take 45 people at one time ( I anticipate 40 of you to be joining us). The cost will be about 25$/person for transportation from the venue to your Seoul hotel and from Seoul to the airport for your departure. Believe me, it's much better than taking the subway with your luggage and much cheaper than a taxi!

Unfortunately all of the vendors refused to commit to a price without a deposit so prices may change at the time we request a deposit.

I only speak English. Will I be okay?

Korea is very English friendly. The Metro system is able to be navigated entirely in English and many restaurants have English menus. Most people here have a very basic understanding of English and at the very least you will be able to communicate with them.

Additionally there are a few people in the group who would be able to help you out if you ask nicely.

Can I Bring my kids?

Yes your kids are welcome everywhere. Those of our travel group with children mostly only have 1 child and the hotel we selected can support 2 adults and 1 child easily. We understand some of you have 2 children and there are limited 2 adult 2 children rooms available. Another option if your children are old enough is to book them a separate room; we'll work with the hotel to make sure your rooms are next to each other in this case.

I also found a business that rents a baby stroller in required. Reach out to me privately if this is a service you may need.

What is the drinking age in Korea?

Drinking Age is 19 years old like Canada. However you can drink in public (see below)

How long can I stay in Korea?

Canadians are able to stay in Korea for up to 6 months VISA free. You will need to complete a K-ETA before arrival.

Also upon arriving Korea Immigration will your finger prints and do a facial scan. Be prepared for that.
